INDIANAPOLIS & BOISE (December 8, 2021) – 120Water and the Idaho Rural Water Association (IRWA) announced a new partnership that will expand the technical assistance and support available to IRWA members, with a focus on equipping systems with tools and resources to enhance monitoring for lead and other contaminants. The partnership will also expand the resources available to Idaho water systems as they prepare to meet new regulatory expectations due to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) with preferred pricing available to members.
“Idaho Rural Water is excited to partner with 120Water in helping our members meet the complicated requirements and deadlines associated with the new Lead and Copper Rule Revision” said Shelley Roberts, IRWA CEO.
As the leading end-to-end solution for managing critical lead and drinking water programs, 120Water enables local and state governments, water systems and major facilities to manage water quality and prioritize investments that protect public health. The 120Water solution — which will be available with preferred pricing to IRWA members — automates actions needed to meet compliance requirements, such as LCR, and ensures timely and transparent communication with stakeholders and the public.
“The challenges facing water systems today are real and complex, and our fundamental objective is to provide the tools water professionals need to successfully and efficiently operate water quality programs and prioritize investments in their infrastructure,” said Megan Glover, co-founder and chief executive officer of 120Water.
“From testing to compliance, we believe technology should be accessible and lift burdens on water systems of all sizes, but particularly small and medium-sized systems in rural communities. That’s why our team – which includes policy experts, water system alumni and technology innovators – is thrilled to collaborate with IRWA and their members across the state of Idaho.”
Idaho water systems interested in learning more about this partnership, preferred pricing, and the resources available to them may contact Carrie Gilstrap at IRWA. Water associations elsewhere interested in learning more or establishing a similar program may contact Lowell Huffman, Director of Partnerships at 120Water.
