ZIONSVILLE, IN & LANOKA HARBOR, NJ (MARCH 18, 2022) – 120Water and the New Jersey Water Association (NJWA) announced a new partnership that will expand the technical assistance and support available to NJWA members, with a focus on equipping systems with tools and resources to successfully manage water quality programs related to lead and other contaminants. The partnership will also include resources available to water systems as they prepare to meet new regulatory expectations due to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR).
Richard Howlett, Executive Director for NJWA, says, “Our association is dedicated to assisting water and wastewater professionals in their mission to safeguard public health and the environment. We do this by providing leadership services and managerial, technical and financial services and education.
One of the ways we’ve chosen to serve our utilities is by working with 120Water. Complying with the new lead service requirements will be time-consuming and costly for our utilities. There’s a lot to understand about the requirements, a lot of work to do, a lot of outreach and reporting required, etc. In addition to the New Jersey Water Association’s technical assistance, 120Water will be an important resource for New Jersey’s water professionals and their utilities.”
As the leading end-to-end solution for managing critical lead and drinking water programs, 120Water enables local and state governments, water systems and facilities to manage water quality and prioritize investments that protect public health. The 120Water solution — which will be available with preferred pricing to NJWA members — automates actions needed to meet compliance requirements, such as LCR, and ensures timely and transparent communication with stakeholders and the public.
“With infrastructure funding and the LCR revisions here, this is a timely partnership to help NJWA members get ahead of the curve,” said Lowell Huffman, Director of Partnership at 120Water. “Providing water professionals with the tools to efficiently operate water quality programs will not only help them meet compliance and access funding opportunities, but to safeguard water quality and protect public health.”
New Jersey water systems interested in learning more about this partnership, preferred pricing, and the resources available to them may contact Richard Howlett, Executive Director for NJWA.
Rural water associations interested in learning more about similar partnerships may contact 120Water’s Association Partnerships Manager, Jeff Biberdorf.
