ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (June 13, 2022) – Pioneering the digital water transformation for nearly a decade, 120Water™ will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for managing water and wastewater programs at the American Water Works Association Annual Conference & Exposition (AWWA ACE), June 12-15. The company’s booth, located within the “Innovation Hub,” will give water professionals the opportunity to explore 120Water solutions designed to improve compliance collaboration between municipal teams and their communities, including the new Public Transparency and Compliance Event Management platform.
“We are really excited to be at ACE to share how our customers have tackled the complex compliance challenges with our solution,” said Megan Glover, co-founder and CEO of 120Water. “Utilities don’t just have to adjust to comply with a new regulation, they also have to navigate accessing funding from the IIJA. Our team is in the trenches every day with partners across the US, providing us with the unique ability to configure our solution to meet the needs of water professionals at utilities of every size. We look forward to sharing these stories and best practices learned from executing hundreds of these programs across the country.”
According to research carried out by 120Water, utilities are largely concerned with the lead service line (LSL) inventory and replacement provision, which requires a location-based record of all systems and connections. For service areas with more than 50,000 customers, that information will need to be publicly accessible online. In a recent survey, 71 percent indicated they did not have records of service line materials in their area. Furthermore, 77 percent did not have a centralized, digital and accessible system for validating service line inventories and running remediation programs over time.
Glover adds, “Working with over 370 community water systems and 9 state agencies in various stages of their lead and water quality programs has allowed us to build the software, kits and service solutions that water systems need to not only comply with the new LCRR, but to effectively build public trust – a win-win.”
Throughout the week, Glover and 120Water Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Tom Bruns, will also have the opportunity to introduce conference attendees to its services through panels and special presentations. The below summarizes their speaking engagements:
ACE22 will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. For more information on the conference, including a full schedule of events and registration details, visit AWWA.com/ACE.
