Water-management innovator taking applications for beta customers
DENVER (June 10, 2019) – Indiana-based 120Water launches its predictive intelligence module and first product Lead Service Line Probability Finder™. 120Water’s Lead Service Line Probability Finder will help utilities and government water-management programs take the expensive guesswork out of locating lead in aging drinking water infrastructure.
Through its cloud-based software and point of use kits, 120Water helps its state, city and municipal customers execute water quality and infrastructure programs to meet current and future regulatory compliance. The company was selected earlier this year from more than 250 applicants as the 2019 Imagine H2O Global Accelerator winner.
“Based on our conversations with Federal and State regulators, as well as hundreds of water systems across the country, identifying both public and private lead service line inventories to take action is a multi-decade trillion dollar issue, at present,” said Megan Glover, 120Water chief executive officer and cofounder. “With the Lead Service Line Probability Finder, now agencies and water systems are able to use known infrastructure data and other data points to more cost-effectively generate inventories to best plan for removal and other regulatory demands.”
Many water programs and state agencies struggle with understanding the full scope of public and private lead service lines and materials. With 120Water’s Lead Service Line Probability Finder, water utilities and related agencies can begin to quantify the effort and resources they will need to tackle this initiative.
The company announced it’s new Lead Service Line Probability Finder today at the American Water Works Association Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado and is currently accepting Beta applications for a select number of interested State Agencies and Water Systems. “Our team’s background in building best-in-class, intelligent software applications positions us to bring a new set of predictive tools to the water industry,” Glover said.
