Governor Eric Holcomb announced several new appointments to state boards, commissions, and tasks forces, including appointing 120Water CEO & cofounder Megan Glover to the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet.

Glover is the only new appointment to the cabinet, and will serve until April 30, 2021.

The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet (GWC) was created in 2018 by Senate Bill 50, a federal mandate that required each state to establish a task force to evaluate workforce initiatives. Since its formation, Indiana’s GWC has served as a leader in the US in its work to weave workforce objectives into overall state objectives – helping the state reach its “Next Level” goals.  Its members work to advise the government on the development and implementation of state and local standards and measures, identify workforce needs, recommend goals for improving the talent development system in Indiana, and more. Since 2018 the GWC has developed the state’s first career coaching and navigation program in addition to supporting Indiana’s “Next Level Jobs” program.

The GWC will continue to work to understand and improve workforce development as it relates to education & curriculum, the adult workforce, disadvantaged communities, and more. Glover is joining other leaders on the cabinet, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud CEO Bob Stutz and Indiana Economic Development Corporation President Elaine Bedel.
