The American Water Works Association’s (AWWA’s) Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) is known as the industry’s premier water conference. ACE brings together the industry’s top thought leaders, engineering firms, and innovative water solutions to discuss and address critical water challenges. It’s often the launching pad for companies to share new products and services or for organizations to announce new initiatives.
120Water could be found all over ACE. Our home base was Isle Utilities’ Innovation Hub, which was sponsored for the second year with a cabana-styled booth. Conference attendees stopped by to discuss LCRR and what comes after 2024. We handed out our ACE23 edition of playing cards, which featured 16 Badass Women of Water who were selected from the hundreds of nominations we received from industry peers. Many of those featured stopped by, and the excitement was palpable! In fact, many of them signed their cards, so we have a card deck for prosperity.
On Monday, we announced our new strategic partnership with Blue Conduit. We are thrilled to provide this seamless integration that enables clients to use BlueConduit’s best-in-class predictive model within the 120Water platform.
At the conference, you could find 120Water speaking alongside other innovators and industry leaders. 120Water’s CEO Megan Glover shared the stage in the Innovation Hub to share her thoughts about what’s on the horizon in the water sector.
The biggest honor was presenting alongside two customers – Buffalo Water and Providence Water. 120Water’s VP of Marketing Issac Pellerin and Director of Client Experience Logan Turner facilitate a conversation around building trust with communities through LCRR programs as David Hill and Kathy Mello shared how exactly they are doing that.
Our group participated in the panel immediately following the presentation alongside industry leaders, Louisville Water’s Kelley Dearing Smith and Green Bay Wiconsin’s Andrea Hay. Christina Montoya-Halter of El Paso Water Utilities moderated the panel discussion on the benefits of proactive communication and the channels through which to communicate as a necessary way to increase transparency, promote trust, and, ultimately, protect public health.
On top of all that, we lost our Astro-Goose teammate. He was “flying” around the exhibit hall. Thankfully, we had some folks track him down at the NRWA booth and bring him back to the Innovation Hub for our prize pack.
ACE continues to be an incredible opportunity to connect with customers, learn from thought leaders, and attend speaking sessions to address the challenges for our industry. Our team’s ACE23 takeaway is that collaboration is key to solving any problem in the industry, like LCRR. We value our partnerships that make comprehensive LCR and LSLR programs possible.
These projects are a huge undertaking and now is the time to consider how you’ll address LCRR after October 16th, 2024. Sign up for our newsletter to stay in the know about LCRR insights and best practices.
