The Problem

COVID-19 is causing unprecedented challenges for communities around the world. In the United States, safely reopening depends on having widespread, advanced testing methodologies. However, symptoms can take up to 14 days to appear (if they appear at all) in infected individuals. Traditional nose swab tests can only go so far, and often fail to contain outbreaks that are already happening once the testing confirms them.

The Solution

Testing wastewater sewage for SARS-CoV-2 RNA can provide a seven day leading indicator of outbreaks, compared to other compiled testing data.
