Zionsville, IN April 8th, 2024— 120Water is pleased to announce that its board of directors has appointed Ed Quilty as a member of the board. With more than 30 years of expertise in water quality, data management and analytics, Ed’s addition to the board further accelerates our company’s leadership as we continue expanding across the country.

Ed is currently CEO of Mobiltex, based in Calgary. He brings decades of industry and executive experience to the board, with training as an aquatic ecologist and leading highly innovative world-class Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) organizations. He founded Vancouver-based Aquatic Informatics (AQI) in 2003 and grew it to be one of the largest water data management and analytics companies worldwide, with AQI’s software continuing to be used in more than 60 countries for monitoring water quantity (droughts and floods), water quality (environmental, municipal, industrial), and climatic conditions. He exited AQI to U.S. industrial and manufacturing conglomerate Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) in 2020.

Ed is also a member of several boards including Cascadia Seaweed, Semios Technologies and the Kidney Foundation of Canada. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Victoria, he was a PhD Candidate, Hydrology and Water Resources Science at the University of British Columbia and was a member of the Entrepreneurial Masters Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His appointment to the 120Water board follows the recent announcement of $43M growth investment Led by Edison Partners announced in January this year.
